No we used to check the bassinet and UB seat in a baby exception suitcase.

K but the real question is did you take the cosco carseat on a handtruck in addition to the stroller?
This handtruck?

So now I think I'm convinced to get the Scenera for our upcoming Israel trip for Purim...
Or maybe this CARES thingy... anyone have any experience with CARES?

Problem with cares is that its not as conducive to sleeping inflight as a car seat is.

He fits but he's 31 inches tall now and I think it only is meant for 30 inches.  He also seems much happier in the car with the convertible.

Boy was it easier to travel with though!

Hmm I guess I have to see if my son is too tall for it. I got the Britax Advocate 70-G3 during with the Amazon 20% baby coupon and he is definitely much happier, but there is no way I would attempt to fly with that.

I guess if he's too tall for the KeyFit 30 I'll pick up one of the Cosco Sceneras. Being as the Scenera only weighs 8.5 lbs, do you think it still pays to get one of those luggage carts?

And put the baby in the UB? The Scenara may even fit underneath the UB.  I'll try it later and report back.

$90??
$69

Would you use the scenara as an everyday car seat?

I don't see why not, but we already bought a Britax.  The Britax goes until a much higher weight, though I doubt you'll reach that weight before they switch to a booster.

New regulations have kids in a car seat much longer. We already have a britax for our older one. Would be great to get this for when she grows out of her current seat till the toddler grows out of the britax.

Don't bring the Britax, I did it just now for the first time and it's a PITA.
It's just too heavy and bulky to fly with, can't fit down aisles, and your kid will be kicking the seat in front, guaranteed.

Get this instead, I just did myself!
It's lightweight, smaller, and a whole lot easier to deal with when flying.  Only works for up to 40 pounds, but for under $40 shipped it's worth the investment even for just 1 trip.
Thanks. Got it

How can lounge agents help? You'll need GA and FA permission either way.
Though if I know I'm next to an empty seat I'll sneak the car seat on even if the GA says no...

Keep checking the seat map.
And make sure to add the child to ur itinerary as early as possible.
Not sure is if its true, last time I was in ORD I asked about an empty seat ad the agent in the lounge told me, that since I have a lap child the seat next to me is blocked off unless there are no other seats

Not true though a really really nice agent may block it for you.

Not true though a really really nice agent may block it for you.
On a few occasions I have had a agent in the lounge block the seat for me.
Also ime helps to know that there is an empty seat and where it is-then the gate agent can't tell you there are no seats.
And if they have blocked a seat off for you, unlikely the gate agent will deny you boarding

I have been using the Sit n Stroll it is very over priced and not very sturdy but I was not able to find an alternative. I got very nervous because it would nt fit in the AA 762 J seats. But after leaning the seat back I was able to slide it under the handle bars.
