Has anyone here ever tried to take a carseat on southwest?

Yes. Many times. The only rules are that the car seat be in the window seat and not within 2 rows of the emergency exits. Other than that no problem.

What if you don't buy a seat for the infant?
Part of the vast right wing conspiracy.

No difference as long as the flight isn't full.

He falls asleep in it, it's just not as comfy so it may take longer.
I still travel with it because the full size Britax and Chicco are far too heavy and bulky to travel with.
just curious as to why not just bring the Britax/Chicco/Recaro with this so that kids would sleep better. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000JJK9EY/ref=redir_mdp_mobile

I mean if your not gonna be carrying it then why not bring the heavier more comfy one?

Thanks. Think I may just do that if it means DD will be sleeping better/longer.

Anybody by chance have one in NY area that I can borrow 1/22-1/28?

i had the same debate with myself, in the end i couldn't be happier that i chose this.
It takes a minute getting to figure out the straps but afterwards it was a lifesaver for me not to mention all the admiring looks & compliments i get whenever i travel

how heavy is your car seat? I can just see myself in the airport with my 27lb daughter and 20lb car seat and the metal handles of my carry-on bending from the weight.

The big ones won't even fit down the aisle of a plane.
And most kids will sleep fine in the Scenara.

What about when you kid falls asleep in the car seat and then you need to carry them sleeping in the car seat off the plane. You'll be very happy that you have the light car seat then.

Brilliant LOL
This review makes me think other wise.

Sounds like a great idea, until you look at the Safety Warning: "-We are not liable for damage to your suitcase or car seat caused by use of this product."
You're going to strap 40-50 lbs of kid and seat to a carryon with little dinky wheels and a simple tube handle? That's just asking for the handle to get bent, or the wheels to break off the bottom while your kid is riding on it. Look at the wheels on any stroller, or for that matter the Gogo Kidz Travelmate, and then look at the wheels on your carryon. They are *not* built to take that kind of weight. So you might be saving the $60 by not getting something like the Travelmate, but give it a little time and you'll probably be spending more replacing your suitcase.

Bottom line: Could be real useful for carrying an empty carseat, if the suitcase isn't packed with much weight. Put a kid in it, and it'd be a good way to destroy a suitcase.

Funny. Someone went on sharktank with a very similar idea a few years ago and they shot it down.

Probably because of this review which explains how to do the same think without buying the strap.

Flying Thursday to lax in C, if I remember correctly I read (maybe on one of Dans TR's) that I can't have a car seat in C even if there's an entry seat, can anyone confirm this?
