Challah Board - Any good suggestions?
« on: August 03, 2012, 05:53:56 AM »
The cheap Chinese knives keep breaking, the boards get messy and don't last.. the nicest onces I guess are the glass but they get wet or crumbs under and it's impossible to clean (or you clean and it gets rusty or something)

Anyone have any good suggestions? looking for something top quality that will last and is nice..

thanks

yes, i got mine for a present but i know there sold in a judaica store Tuvia's in monsey NY.
its an amazing piece, my father has the same one, and his is 10-15 yrs old and still in great condition. this is what it looks like.
if im not mistaken there a bit pricy, around $200 or so but its large and its so useful, all the crumbs go to the bottom and we just pour it into a bag.
If you have any questions please search and then ask. PM me for detailed help.

For a knife you should get yourself a regular bread knife not a nice challah knife that doesn't cut and make sure it has big teeth. IME lasts much longer and cuts azoi vie es darf tsu zain.
