I guess this makes sense, as @ExGingi is merely striving to be a Lubavitcher
On a more serious note, none of my mesivta classmates had heard the term in 1999, but I can't speak for today.
Merely striving? That makes it sound like striving is a lesser level than someone who actually managed to attain the title.

On a more serious note, interestingly enough, I was actually pondering this exact question this morning (while asking a friend about when his son's Bar Mitzvah would be).
My conclusion was that a Lubavitcher Bar-Mitzvah is so detailed with minhagim etc. that actually span at least two months, that the "bo-bayom" is a natural in 99% of the cases, so it's a non-issue, it's just normal and expected. Hence, no need to call it any special name.
