Saw the rings of Saturn for the first time today (borrowed spotting scope) and the moons of Jupiter (my own binoculars, just never thought of looking till now).
Mad cool.
Interestingly, although my DW often marvels at different celestial bodies, I have almost no interest in staring into the sky. Show me the pictures that pros took and I'll check them out. It's not like stunning scenery that you can only really experience properly in person.
Maybe it's because I had a kid's telescope as a kid and I already thoroughly got those urges out of my system...
