My uncle, olov hashalom, was a rock star in the sixties. He was still getting royalties ten years ago because there was a cult following in England that kept singing his stuff. (Though that was MOSTLY because it was played on the radio.)
Anyway, just last night, my father mentioned that he was the one who took possession of all the reels and records from my uncle's recording studio. He recalled that one night, my uncle came home from work and put on a master copy of that day's session, and he hears a guitarist playing ridiculously well - he had never heard a guitarist play that way before. It was some guy named Jimmy Hendrix... My father says that if he ever finds a box of recording studio records, he's going to drop everything and play them all, in case this record is in the stack. It is probably worth good money (at least $10,000).
