At night while most of the world is sleeping there are some members which are looking to socialize since they have no one else to speak to; they play a really exciting and fun game which basically every couple minutes you write a comment, the comments range from standing to sleeping, from young grasshoppers to old grasshoppers. it usually begins around 1:00 am EDT

RULES OF THE GAME:

1) Game starts at 1am Eastern, 12am Central, 11pm mountain, 10pm pacific... You get the point.
2) Anyone can call a roll call, just make a reply with "Roll Call". The roll call must be readable to the naked eye.
3) No more than one roll call every thirty minutes.
4) You have 30 minutes to respond to the roll call to stay active.
5) To respond to a roll call just post a reply with "Here" or "y y y"
6) If after one hour there are no more "Roll Calls" or "Heres", then the last person to post correctly either by calling a roll call or with a reply of "here" is declared winner of LMS.
7)You must have been awake for at least 12 hours before making or answering a RC.

OR IN SHORT:

You can't physically change yourself to a sheep. But you can change your gender.

I believe the following accurately portrays the view of mainstream halacha.

Gender is determined sometime prior to birth.  If someone feels uncomfortable with the gender he was assigned prior to birth that is unfortunate. Lets take as an example someone born male.  He has a difficult emotional/mental issue he has to deal with.  If he chooses to deal with it by undergoing gender transformation surgery, halacha views him as a male who has mutilated himself.  His status for brachos is male.  His status for eidus would depend on whether his actions have rendered him a rasha (an eidus-relevant definition of rasha, similar to gazlan.)

My personal view of science fits well with the halachic view.  According to science,  gender is determined at conception.  If the egg is fertilized by an X sperm, the child will be female, and every cell in her body will reflect that.  If egg is fertilzed by a Y sperm the child will be male and every cell in his body will reflect that. Surgery and hormone therapy cannot change that.

While not going into the controversial discussion as to whether this is acceptable for a good Jew to do, I'd like to know what's the rules of someone did decide to take the bait and switch gender:

Am I kosher l'aides?

Which bracha do I make, sh'lo asani isha or sh'asani kirtzono?

Do I make kiddush or light the candles?
All this is a quote of a tshuvah from the tzitz eliezer, though I can't find the actual pdf for the entire tshuvah online and I'm not home to scan it... There he discusses a lot of interesting points and opinions on the matter in a very sensitive and respectful way, (and not like reb Moshe he definitely recognizes the "want" for a change of gender)

You're making fun of me.
At this point it looks like you need some support,
So firstly I support you, second while your in a very difficult stage (or you may have just ended a difficult stage) I hope you have the courage to get thru it, and if you are already thru then great, and I'm very happy for you. Thirdly while I or others (or anyone for that matter) may or may not agree with your decision to begin with that doesn't matter now, the decision was made and it's time to move on from that and just look forward, and to those who think what you did was wrong (whether I agree with them or not), it's time to get passed that, we've all done things against hakadosh boruch hu (this is not to justify it), but the approach I was brought up with is to always look ahead. how can I serve hashem today in the circumstance I am in today, not how I should have done it yesterday or start reflecting on if I made the right choices or not. The reason you were brought down into this world was to help (in a way only you can) make a dirah for hakadosh boruch hu in this lowest world and whether you were right or wrong, one thing is for sure you have that same chiyuv of serving hakadosh boruch hu as you did before, and that is what you should be focusing on, not on other peoples thoughts or feelings towards you, focus on your connection to your creator and why he put where you are today (not yesterday). and thru this hopefully we will all have the proper respect and never judge anyone on their past (the truth is we shouldn't be judging at all!) And we should merit to והיו לבשר אחד with the coming  of משיח speedily in our days, אמן.

IIRC, there's a teshuva from the tzitz eliezer about trans.

On the topic of trans, it's a shame what the left has done.
Trans is an obvious psychological disorder.
To call someone by their new gender, is like telling a schizophrenic that he truly is the messiah.
To encourage people to mutilate their bodies is plain sad.
The left is so misguided on this, their rachmanus (which I believe is sincere) is pure rishus.
This whole topic is so sad. Mentally ill people being handled so wrongly.
