LMS - Last Man Standing.. Not FMS (First Man Standing) - This game is for night time only, not morning, afternoon, or evening.. NIGHT TIME ONLY!!

At night while most of the world is sleeping there are some members which are looking to socialize since they have no one else to speak to; they play a really exciting and fun game which basically every couple minutes you write a comment, the comments range from standing to sleeping, from young grasshoppers to old grasshoppers. it usually begins around 1:00 am EDT

RULES OF THE GAME:

1) Game starts at 1am Eastern, 12am Central, 11pm mountain, 10pm pacific... You get the point.
2) Anyone can call a roll call, just make a reply with "Roll Call". The roll call must be readable to the naked eye.
3) No more than one roll call every thirty minutes.
4) You have 30 minutes to respond to the roll call to stay active.
5) To respond to a roll call just post a reply with "Here" or "y y y"
6) If after one hour there are no more "Roll Calls" or "Heres", then the last person to post correctly either by calling a roll call or with a reply of "here" is declared winner of LMS.
7)You must have been awake for at least 12 hours before making or answering a RC.

OR IN SHORT:

And what does one do after 4 months?

Either put the money back where it came from, or move it to the next bank account bonus - there's always something. My logic behind this investment "strategy" (as I explained in the bank bonus thread) is a way to maximize my emergency fund cash (which needs to be liquid); I already maxed out I-Bonds for me and my wife. If anyone has a better strategy, I'm all ears.

I can't consider this passive income, as it actually requires time spent (going to a branch, meeting with a banker and openings an account - I did that today at a local bank just because I needed a safe deposit box, with no line and 0 travel time, it took at least 15 minutes to open a checking account).
Definitely reasonable.

Balance needs to be $50,000 on day 30 and day 90. $20,000 to avoid monthly fee. In branch only.
Who has $50,000?

In theory, one should have a 3-6 months of expenses liquid for an emergency fund.

In practice, many do not.

People that got EIDL and haven't figured out what to do with it.

Also, the 50,000 balance only needs to be there for 2 days out of 120. I'm not sure if 20,000 needs to be there the rest of the time or only on the last day of statement cycle (to avoid $25 monthly fee).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Received a mailer from Wells Fargo for $700 for opening a new account.

"This is an exclusive, non-transferable offer. You must be the intended recipient of the direct mail offer."

The mailer is addressed to:

Dear Resident
It's non-transferable as they have already opened the account in your name.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

To be clear. The mailer said "Dear Resident", I never used the name "Resident" to register or open any account whatsoever.

This takes generational gaps to the next level:

As I was walking to my office this morning, a young bochur asks me if I work for a neighboring business, when I replied in the negative, he asked if I know the phone number. I pointed at the sign that had the phone number, and his response was "do you know the first three digits" (the number on the sign didn't have an area code ahead of the number).

Did you give him the alphanumeric prefix?

That's my FIL's generation. But he wasn't asking about the prefix, he was asking about what people my age call "area code", and intuitively know what it is when it's omitted.

Probably wasn't a local....

We currently have 5 area codes for local numbers (though some are more common on cell-phones), yet still, people of my generation (and probably even 10 or 20 years younger) will know that when a 7 digit phone number is listed, the area code (prefix, in this youngsters parlance) would be 718.
