Getting paid after company was sold
« on: August 02, 2012, 02:39:44 PM »
My wife stopped working and went to school a around a year ago. Recently we found an old uncashed paycheck of hers. After calling up and getting the run around a few times she was finally told that the company had been sold in the interim so they are not willing to reissue the check. Is there any recourse?

If the corporation changed ownership, I can't see why they wouldn't still be liable.

I'd keep bothering them. If you don't get anywhere, PM me.

Doing a small change to the date and putting small initials of the signature should work for the bank.
I'd still put in ATM and avoid the teller.
