they are doing what I just told you to do, and norton isn't a good antivirus it really slows down the system.

Try combofix.
I've actually had on every rare case when the google redirect virus effected the router i have no clue how it happened - but every single computer I connected to the clients router was redirected when using google. I doubt you got that but try combofix first.
no luck with combofix, and my landlord is also useing my router yet he has no problems, so i don't think it's the router

I like avast (for home user or smb environment) - especially certain features it has like boot time scanning etc - and since I started using it my clients were very satisfied. I used to use avira but the ads are very annoying.

@DH Data Recovery:

Would you happen to know how to fix a domain pc that cannot connect to domain services because "workstation" serivce keeps crashing, I turn it on manually and it starts working again, but if I try using rdp (incoming) it connects for a sec and then crashes the "workstation" service again (i even set it to keep restarting if it fails).

I ran av scan (avg), left and rejoined domain. System restore to earliest date avail (2 days prior) and nadda.

Any ideas?
It is all from Hashem and he will continue to give!

You might want to run a program like combofix.
So I just downloaded this program and ran it. It shut down my computer with a warning and stuff. Is it possible it is because combofix is faulty or it detected a virus and did it as a precaution?

Combofix should load a blue screen and then run about 50 or so "stages" and then it may restart and create a log.

It could be the virus detected combofix and shut it down.

best if you run combofix in safe mode w/ networking, and save it to the desktop before you run it

Edit the settings for RDP not to connect local printers and see if when you connect it still crashes. Have you checked the event log on the computer to see what is logged when you log in ?

Im not entirely sure what you mean that the screen gets blurry - and I don't know that its caused by a virus. Do you get any specific message from avira?
