fios. 39.99/mo 100mb

Is that included with a phone line? Do I need to purchase a router?

Optimum is also offering 100mb for $39.99

I'm moving from my current home 11 months into my 2 year deal with Verizon Fios, what option would you choose:

1) Transfer service to new location: Maintain current triple play with 500 channels i dont need, 75/75 internet with free quantum router (being wasted) and phone, 1 HD tv box and 1 non HD box for 148 including taxes with 1 year remaining (ends 9/19) or

2) Break contract and sign new one with smaller custom family tv list, gigabit internet, need to buy quantum router ($150 one time), phone (new number/annoying), 2 hd tv boxes for $127 including taxes, but locked in for 2 years (perhaps good at that price).

second is no brainer right? Altice is the other company in 5 towns (where i am moving) but it just doesnt seem as consistent as fios and i work from home a lot.

If you're breaking your contract and they will not let you keep the phone number, assuming you want to keep the number, you should first port it out to another provider before you cancel anything, then you could port it back to the new service.

Doesn't optimum pay up to a few hundred dollars towards the fee of breaking your contract?
