When you extend the warranty with hp they basically ship you a small booklet with a serial # etc - and thats your warranty. They make it as a seperate purchase and product - and why should they cancel it - he paid full price for the warranty! You can always call and cancel though

or keep the warranty and in 3 months call them and tell them your hp exploded and is in ashes... and u need a new one
