No kidding. I'm talking about switching to direct, I've called many times (huca) but to no avail (for the dates I want, which to be honest are very hot season flights..).

If you want to have some fun and call elal for me and think you can convince them to switch to the flight that I want, I'd of course be grateful

But as much as I've tried, gornisht gehulfen.

My flight is leaving JFK to TLV at 6pm.

Is a flight from the midwest arriving at JFK at 3:40 leaving me enough time to make the flight?

Checking luggage, and I believe Delta should check it for me all the way since their new policy isn't starting until January.

Double check that they have an agreement with el Al, if they do you are fine. Just be aware since you are on separate tickets if you get delayed and miss your flight it's not the airlines fault

Even if it's an American Airlines flight?

I know, that's why I am a bit concerned. If I get delayed I'll be stuck with no ticket.
