Cheap Tickets to Israel - PRICE MISTAKE (maybe)!

Does anybody have any experience with upgrading to a business class ticket with this deal.  I just followed the link to ELAL and put in my reservation number and got a page stating that my ticket is eligible for an upgrade offer, it's requesting that I put in an offer any ideas of what I should do.

You can manage the booking on elal website, including choosing seats, meals and FF dk if anyone posted this yet

on elal's website i was able to select seats...but for meals - it only allows me to choose for the elal operated flight not for the others. anyone else having this problem?

Later this afternoon, Sheryl Stein, from the Public Relations Division of El Al, explained to YWN what had taken place.

EL AL had submitted winter promotional fares correctly to an outside company which is responsible for filing airfares for many airlines. That company posted incorrect EL AL fares on several travel web sites. On a daily basis, any published airfare consists of the basic fare, a fuel surcharge and taxes. In this situation, the fuel surcharge was omitted.

Stein says that the error was the outside companies fault and not El Al.

She added that El Al still has no idea exactly how many tickets were sold at the incorrect rates, and it was still unknown if not El Al would honor the tickets.

u cant reserve. u can just make a request IME and then reiterate at check in and at the gate.
U could also try to already assign the right seats online

I am only able to make an offer on the ELAL segment of the trip which is from TLV to London and the lowest bid is 280 for that segment. Not worth it.

worked for me. Did you select elal airlines?

Go here while logged in to an AA.com account and search for your itinerary with your AA flight number (LY 8035 is AA 64). Then you can select you seats on AA as well as chose Kosher meals. It also shows fare classes.
That booking code only works for LY, AA has a different code.

Thats not true IME. I put my elal booking code and my elal flight number on elal metal, and date and it pulled up my entire trip with the AA booking code showing on top.

Nope. I'm trying to extend by a day. Expedia claims it's not up to them, it's the airlines policy.

Maybe call back everyday and change one letter saying I'm not changing the name. It was just a simple spelling mistake.

I have done a change of one letter.(it got me flagged for pat down though they put SSSS all over my boarding pass) Can't imagine it will work to change the whole name over time...but hey it sounds like it could work unless they only allow a certain amount of spelling corrections per reservation.

i would call the airline, sometimes they have different availability and sometimes u r just unlucky to have another 10 babies on the flight
