When I flew to Israel recently , El Al which recently changed its baggage policy, had no problem gauging me with a humongous baggage fees caused by the weight of the items I had bought in Israel. they wouldn't budge on the policy. They said they would honor it, they should honor it.

From the LY twitter and other statements yesterday, it sounded like the third party would be liable "An outside company posted incorrect fares on travel websites, so all tickets sold will indeed be honored". I think that today they realized that they have to foot the bill, so all of a sudden, they're not so excited.

Just how it sounds to me. I have no direct info on the matter

Just an idea, it seems if you cancel a reservation with Expedia the ticket is still in your itineraries but "not booked".
I did not follow all the way through, but it seems it may let you rebook it for the same price? You can change the names as well and the price stays the same up until where you put the CC in.

I wonder if Expedia would ticket it at the same price if cancelled, and rebooked with new names?

spent long enough on the phone with them already and dont want to call to cancel another reservation.

Update: if i go back in now, it gives an "updated price". For about 5 minutes after i cancelled on the phone it was letting me rebook at the same price. Dont know if it would have given me an error when i hit submit.

If someone else is cancelling with expedia on the phone, they can try it online right after they cancel.

Won't rebook, that's just an image of a res, it won't book if that fare isn't currently available.
