One way to find out for sure, post a massive glitch.
Glitches don't bring down the site anymore since BAHayman moved DD to the Amazon Cloud and introduced a new caching system following the Delta glitch that melted DD servers.
The recent Israel glitch set record smashing records for active connections on the site without any problem. That's because when you load DD you just see an image of what it was a minute before as opposed to a live view. It also means it takes an extra minute to make an update to any post, but that's a small price to pay.
The problems are caused by comments which bypass the cache, so hopefully the stuff we did today will solve that. Been getting slammed by 25K spam comments a day recently, just nuts.
