For those who booked tickets and are now actually LOOKING at them- whats the worst mistake u made so far?
AND how much did u pay for it?
I didnt realize pesach ended wednesday- and had to book for the following week- when i could have easily have gotten the same price for the day after pesach which would have worked out better for me. And i left out an infant on another flight i was booking for family.
My tickets cost me 346 a piece, and my brothers was 504 a piece. All for pesach 2013.

Im just imagining that people made some really funny mistakes (bdays wron, wrong names.. )
just curious it wud b funny to hear how people act on impulse.

My wife's passport is still her maiden name. I booked the ticket with her married name. I guess she needs a new passport before we go.

Bring your marriage certificate to the airport and you shouldn't have a problem.

Tell them you want to add a last name. do it hyphenated on the ticket

yup. I add girls married name hyphenated. Her american passport says her maiden name. Her Israeli, her married.

Never had a problem yet though YMMV.

My friend booked a Thursday ticket and just realized it gets in Friday 1 hour before Shkia!!

He's hoping he can spend Shabbos in Zurich. Think Elal will let him off easy and let him fly ZRH-TLV after Shabbos? He figures if the flight is even a minute delayed he can convince them in the Airport. The question is if its on time, will they be understanding of the issues?

I just spoke with El Al, there is no way to add a hyphenated name after the ticket is issued. Your idea is great for someone holding 2 passports with different names. However El Al told me to bring a marriage certificate with me and it will be no problem. Can i rely on that? Even though I am flying on AA for 2 legs?

I booked a flight to leave on thursday for $403 thinking that elal doesnt land in TLV so close to shabbos and after i realized it lands an hour before shabbos, so I quickly started another booking and got a better flight for $359. Came out good cuz a family member so happened to book the same flight.

Yes, my SIL had the same issue and did it with no problems.

Booked together with a friend - turns out we're actually flying a day apart. I'm probably canceling soon, though. My wife can't take off from work in the end .

i was traveling when the deal hit and i asked a friend if it was available for sukkos and he said no, so i didnt book anything bec i didnt know what dates id be able to go....
