Cholov Yisroel:
If you go onto Kosher Panama Website you can search for Cholov Yisroel by entering Jalav Israel in the search, just be aware if the site lists Jalav Israel and Lacteo in the description, the establishment may have both CY and non-CY so be aware and double check with the staff.
SuperKosher also had a nice selection of CY breakfast/snack/frozen items available.

There is a local chalav yisroel that isn't up to everyone's standards. It isn't up to Chabad as they use a lower kasherimg temperature than the alter rebbe holds.
This is what local chabad down there told me. Don't hold me to any of it please.

There are a lot of nice hotels. There is no beach in panama city, so to go to any of the tourist attractions, you need to travel a bit.

That being said, I stayed at the Residence Inn Panama city. The hotel was inexpensive, but decent. the pool was small but had a nice view of the skyline and pacific ocean from the pool deck. The real reason to stay there though is convenience. It's less than a 5 minute walk to most of the Panama City Kosher Restaurants - Yoss, Aroma, Jeffrey's, Dr. Sandwich were all within a 5 minute walk. SuperKosher has 2 restaurants and a supermarket and is in the mall below the hotel. It's also about a 5-10 minute walk to Chabad.

Chabad is literally around the corner from the Residence Inn.

Yes, but it's not nearly as close as Yoss Burger

Besides for Aria, which other places are recommended?

Are there any must do activities?

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience with Air Panama flights PAC-BOC or return? I am reading lots of online reviews about last minute schedule changes and delays, I am planning a trip and do not want to waste hours with delays and/or chances of missing the PTY flight.
Any experience with charter flights?
TIA!

Bump?

I'd recommend that you read several trip reports before asking questions. There are some very good resources of DDF.

I have but when they were posted including yours. Some can be quite lengthy.

Just trying to see if there is a consensus #2 place to eat or not. For an older couple who have 3 days there and aren't interested in San Blas, monkey island etc

I don't really get why someone would want to go to Panama if they were uninterested in the jungle and animals, but whatever.  For someone with only 3 days and older, I'd recommend the Panama Canal - unless they are simply uninterested.  If these folks are interested in history/walking tours, other easy tours would be Casco Viejo - the old city and Panama Viejo, the original city destroyed in 1671.  Both can be done on their own or with a guide.

As for food, I think others would be better suited to answer.

Because they are going to be there anyway for other reasons but they do have some downtime.

Every time my wife orders fish since we went she comments that it doesn't hold a candle to Aroma's sea bass. If they want upscale experience though, Kava or Blame Kiki are probably better.

I unfortunately didn't get to Aria on my Trip, Kiki was interesting, it turns into a night club as well. If you are an older couple you might not want the noise. I would definitely recommend both Kava and Yoss Burger as well. (Kava is dairy/fish/italian).

The easy go to, non-jungle activities are the Canal, walking around Casco Vlejo (there is also nice falafel/shawarma restaurant in Casco - Lula). I wanted to go to the Mola Museum in Casco but didn't have time. I was also told that if you go to the Canal, going to the Canal Museum in town is the same thing.

If you are up for a nice hike, there is Ancon Hill. You can take an uber about halfway up, but need to walk up the hill to the summit. It's about a mile or so to the top of the hill, and the path is paved and closed to cars (aside from police/etc). But the views are spectacular. To the south you can see Casco Vlejo, the Amador Causway, parts of downtown, and maybe the nearest pearl islands. From the north you can see the canal locks.

Just got back from a trip to Panama and would like to endorse Alon Levi and his tour booking agency (https://en.panamawithalon.com/). He has a very wide variety of tour options and is flexible, generous, and very easy to deal with. We had a fantastic time on the days that he organized for us in Portobelo and San Blas- would highly recommend!

Why do you feel the need to bring food?  You can get anything you need there.

the restaurants are pricey for a family for a few days. The kosher supermarket has similar to American pricing on raw meat, deli, tuna etc?
