Author Topic: Squaretrade QPN for Ebay (Read 4023 times)

I just got a new cellphone on ebay (I use PagePlus) and wanted to get a ST warranty, but all of the QPNs they email me exclude Ebay purchases.
(For good reason, cellphone claims normally have a $99 deductible but when purchased through Ebay there is no deductible.)

I just called ST and said that they always send me 30% off but they exclude ebay, and could they give me one for ebay. He just gave me a 20% no problems!

Note: He did ask me to read off a QPN that I received via email, I assume you can just use mine: 1426XYR100S (Even though it's one-time use, it was never actually used.)

I just called, I told them I had a 30% that wasnt working... They asked me if I had a ST account, I did, I gave them info...
They gave me a 30% coupon - for a being a previous customer.

So - BB I got on eBay $160

Warranty (after tax and coupon) $38

For eBay purchases they usually do give coupons, but since I was a previous customer they gave me a coupon, but if its for a non-ebay purchase, they should give you a coupon even if you a not a previous customer.

I was actually wondering the same thing. Not for a cell phone but for a washer/dryer.

I've read reviews about them, some are happy other ppl call them a scam, they don't make it easy on you when you have an issue (according to reviews..) I was considering a while back offering them with every laptop i sell, but I'm still not sure how legit/easy they are to work with

I have bought three policies from them. I haven't had a claim yet, but my sister has and they were very good and accommodating.

- You can cancel your plan whenever you want and they prorate you a refund
- IDK if you actually need to be a member to get an Ebay coupon, try mine from OP
- Ordinarily cell phone claims have a $99 deductible, unless the cellphone was purchased through ebay (and they are aware of this)

Update: Just had my first claim, on the phone from op actually. Vibrate stopped working, local repair guy said not economical to fix. I sent in letter saying as much, and they just sent me a label to send back phone and they're paypaling me $220. Just bought a gs3 from eBay for $217.50
