In the event that their Seminary doesn't provide transport, what would it cost for four Seminary girls, each with two large suitcases, to travel TLV to Jerusalem? Any specific recommendations?

Nesher is always a solid option. Since taxi drivers charge extra per person and per bag, Nesher for about 70NIS pp could be cheapest. And with 4 people going to the same place, the number of stops shouldn't be too bad.

Thanks.  The Seminary actually recommended this approach.  Nesher has no problem with so many bags? (Ps is Nesher the same as Sherut? If so, I have done that several times.)

the stops can still be pretty bad.
Regardless I would still "splurge" on the extra 75-100nis
To know I have a driver waiting for me and taking just my friends and i directly to my destination.

A tip - if you are 4 all going to the same place - tell the nesher driver you're only going with him if he drops you off first. I just did it last month and it worked like a charm. Try it! If he hadn't agreed to that we would have gone to look for a taxi.

Pro tip: Always cross check with the Kashrus agency, especially in Israel.

That's what I figured. If you go back through the thread, I only discovered that they'd dropped OK because I contacted OK about whether they cover the visitor center, or only the products themselves.

I'm not commenting on whether or not a hechsher on the product is good enough for this situation, but personally we wouldn't have been comfortable with that alone.

+1

The last thing you want after a long flight is a long drawn out ride with an aggressively nasty driver.

We are planing of family trip to Israel in August. Are recommendations where to stay where to stay preferably in Jerusalem for family with several small kids under 8? Any "Israel experience" and kids-friendly activities away from heat? What is the best way to commute in Israel, is there a Uber/Lyft or other not very expensive options? Thank you in advance for any recommendations and Shabath Shalom!

Going to take my 5th trip to Israel in the past 11 years and still no clue which restaurant hashgochas are good and which are not. So much simpler in the US...

hotels are easier, but the idea, tedious it is, is to talk with the mashgiach and figure out how they handle truma, which meat they use, are they indeed truly CY, veggies gush katif, and which other hechshers are acceptable for use at the establishment. Am I missing anything?
