+1  Is it still running?
It still runs, it's pretty and cheap.
You can board at the zoo if you want to combine it with a tiyul, plus there are many attractions in that area, such as the springs, and the park.

Anyone know of a good winery near Haifa, Zichron Yakkov, that offers "walk in" tours and are open this week?

30 shekel pp, IIRC.

Being that it was pesach they didn't have wine tasting, only grape juice tasting :( and I want to say the grape juice was Eida, but I'm not 100% sure.

More details here: http://carmelwines.co.il/en/wine-tours/  (I think we did the classic tour.)

Hey guys, I'm staying at an Airbnb apartment near the  Jerusalem hotels. Was thinking of going to one of the hotels for the shabbos meals with my wife. First off, can I reserve a few places at the hotels for meals as a non hotel guest? Second, any recommendations as to which hotel to eat at and any information as to the pricing?

Thanks

Let's start with with your Kashrus standards, very few of "the" hotels have Mehadrin.

I think Ramada offers that.
Although you be end up overpaying...

Best option is to buy takeaway from any shop and keep it warm on hotplate...

And that is why Israel is more complicated. There is no general CRC or Star-K type line to call into. Therefore Americans find it complicated.

I remembered you once wrote about Israeli Kashrus being complicated, but I'm not @TimT, so for my standards, pointing to this post will suffice (might not be a Mehadrin search level  ;) ) but in any event a different post in a different recently active thread, brought me upon this:

https://castbox.fm/episode/1%2F26%2F19-Kashrus-In-Eretz-Yisroel-and-Kashrus-Part-III-id1348308-id124608743?country=us
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!
