In the "heimishe" areas agents and local advertising are the way to go in my experience.

Astounding how much more robust the mehadrin kosher scene in NYC/Miami has become and how far behind Israel's is.

Thereís apparently world class food in Tel Aviv, sadly Iím not sure to what degree (if any?) itís Kosher.

Iím not sure if the reasons such restaurants are not Kosher relate to the Israeli cultural divide, economics, the complexity of Kashrus in EY (for a secular restaurant operator), or other factors. Itís likely a combination.

And the ones that do have $ many times feel less frum, so they will eat at rabanut places. (plenty of fine dining under rabanut)
