I did it thru kiryat arba last week and seemed pretty safe.
Most  people dont do it since its not safe.
see above:
Technically, if you stay on the correct route the whole time.
HOWEVER, there are a lot of turns in the road and the exit goes straight, and as the cabbie told us:
 "PONIM YEMINA, YOU'RE DEAD!"
Small people talk about other people.
Average people talk about things
BIG PEOPLE TALK ABOUT IDEAS.

The achziv water hike is really amazing!! Its located near nahariya and shlomi both with kosher food. The water is cold and its a really long walk with plenty of deep and shallow areas. It ends up by a waterfall. (I never reached the waterfall though)

Hertz gave me a hard time insisting not only on a paper copy, but also that it is dated close to the rental (we had one from about 5 months earlier, from a postponed trip due to COVID- they declined that one). One agent also insisted that the letter specifically mentions Israel (CSR letter says "valid worldwide" which was not sufficient for one of the agents, but the other one accepted it.

Are there any easy ways to get this letter? Regular SM was as useless as expected. Thanks.

There's a number to call and they email it to you right away. I don't remember off hand which, I think Dan has it in his DDMS posts.

Anybody know what's the story with wineries this year (Shemitta)? Are there tours?
Any specific ones you recommend?
Gush Ezion winery has a mehadrin dairy restaurant that is great.

The tour was decent, the wine was great and you can choose to add a cheese board to the tasting if you don’t want to have a full meal.

There was another discuss upthread about a different winery as well.

I'm trying to find out the name of a specific hotel. I heard it's a really nice place right outside Jerusalem, they have kosher food with a good hechsher, and a very good spa. Does anyone know what I'm referring to?

For me the jeru - Chevron drive is easy shmeasy.

One trick is to pick up trempers (hitchhikers) if you nervous on drive...

But I personally never had an issue...

Afaik heter mechira produce.

I called to confirm - Produce is Heter Mechirah.
Hechsher is Mehadrin Gush Etzion
The cheese etc could still be fine but you need to call and confirm yourself what dishes use the Heter mechirah produce.

10 years ago I was in Tzfas for Shabbos and a Rabbi Rottenberg offered free Shabbos afternoon tours of the city which were amazing. Does anyone know if that's still ongoing?
