no appt necessary. You put in your TZ/ Passport number, get a ticket and wait online. There were only two people ahead of me, so I was in and out in 10 min

If you dont mind a 30 minute detour (total) the best zoo in Israel is located in Kiryat Motzkin called Hai Park. It is a fantastic place for toddlers and there are a ton of kosher (even mehadrin) places to stop for pizza.

Anyone here has been to the Kiryat Motzkin Zoo recently? On Google Maps, there are tons of reports decrying the horrid conditions of the animals. I want to know if it is legit in bad shape, or just some virtue-signaling leftist elephant-rights campaign. Any ideas?

ETA - what was strange is that on google maps, almost every single one of the negative reviews only have 1 - 3 reviews. Suspicious. I found that there were articles about a hafgana because someone posted a sad-looking picture of an elephant... so the zoo let people come for free to see how awesome the conditions are...
