Herodian has been opening up new sections the last 2 years. Highly recommend going and having a tour to better understand the history.
Nearby tekoa has one of the largest caves in israel, short hike away from the yishuv

Any good minyan around rechavia for Yom Kippur? A few years ago there was a minyan with Beri Weber near the Great Synagogue but I'm not sure if that is happening this year
Jury Duty: Nothing to do there but chill and write a TR. Kinda like the beach but missing the view and ocean breeze.

Can anyone recommend a tour guide for Tzfas and neighboring towns? If you feel comfortable sharing, please also note the cost.

Looking to rent a car and drive possibly to either ashdod, haifia, or dead sea. Is there anyway to know which routes are safe and which highways to avoid(arabs cities) when Im using waze or google maps.
Thanks

I dont have an full answer for you but
general rule is if you only see English and Arabic, turn around.
Arabic and Hebrew is ok.

Ashdod you can't really go wrong, just stick to main highways and Hebrew sounding Moshvim. There should be no need though to off route.
Haifa-  if coming from J-lem just stick to 1 or 443 and go north on Highway 2 (once you go a little past Tel Aviv make sure you don't go east too much, until you hit )
Dead Sea- Just take 1 to the 90.

I've included a map. There is more to say. Stay out of the red circle.

Waze has only taken me on main routes
Depending where you're coming from, Highway 90 and 6 are the main north/south roads

In Tzfas the Mekarev shuls and Rav Greinamen have really nice kabolas shabbos. I’m not hearing of anything like that in Yerushalayim. Where in Geulah/ Meah Shearim/ Beis Yisrael is there a really nice kabolas shabbos? Thanks.

Any reliable place to get my tefillin checked while I'm there? Preferably walkable to 11 Hillel Street, Jerusalem.
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

It's been many years since I've been to E'Y. I know i need an adapter like what was posted yesterday but that is not a converter. So, what would I need to plug in my macbook charger without risking it getting fried?

Macbook and most if not all other laptop chargers work on both 110v and 220v, so all you need is one of those basic converters, same with most if not all cell phone chargers.

Yes. It should be written on the power brick if the charger works on 220V.  It should. You can also check on the cords/plugs/bricks of other small appliances like hair dryers etc.
