+1 And even if you have to wait for the second or third elevator, you still save time - not just effort - over the escalators. Just note that there is a bit of walking even with the elevators. I couldn't take my parents on the train because of that.

Agav, one of the best travel hacks I know is taking the train to Yerushalayim and then taking a taxi from there, for those people who just can't be bothered with mass transit. Unless you are traveling with five people, the money saved is pretty great.

Best hotel I've stayed at is called Hotel Lavi in Kibbutz Lavi its very nice, delicious food and 15 minutes from Tiberias as opposed to Kinar which is 45 minutes away and not as nice. The kinar is probably a little cheaper though. Also has a good Hechsher.

Yes you do need to book before, if you show up to the bus station without a ticket you might get on but your taking a risk, price is set at around 75 shekel.

I would do Meron,Tzfat,Amuka and then Tiveria or vice versa the 6 is the quickest and safer (no Arabs and a real highway) but does have a toll the 90 is free but a very windy 1 way in each direction and goes through Arab areas.

Meron, tzfas an amuka are all in the same area.  Tiveria is 35-45 min south, near the Kineret.  From there its straight down the 90.
I like the 90 during the day.  You're driving along a dessert and suddenly there's a moshav that's got orchards of fruit trees.  Then you're back to dessert and you see Beduins camps and their goats. Yes, you pass Arab villages along the way.  During the day it feels comfortable enough.
Best in daylight:  mountains of Amuka and Meron. the 90.
Also helpful on the cemetary mountain of Tzfat.
So: Start early.  Drive up on 90, Tiveria.  lunch.
M,T,A
Drive back as it's getting dark or later, on the 60.

Meron,Tzfas, Amuka.  It might pay to go to M and A first.  then tzfat - cemetery mountain in broad daylight? or quaint city of Tzfat and it's ancient shuls first?  Either way.  Supper. Then back south.

Any suggestions for a nice, clean, updated cabin to rent in the golan heights? I'm looking to go in the summer, and Id like to book before they all sell out. Pool is a plus but not a must. Going with wife and kids iyh so needs to be at least 2 rooms (can be sofa bed for the second room, but can't be a studio sort of thing) TIA

It’s a paper ticket you book online then pick it up at a machine in the bus station.

The ride is off road. Mostly on dirt paths through wild, empty areas.  Occasionally we needed to hold on while we went “whee “ down a slope.  No way to cover this ride in a regular car.No. But respectful.
Conservative Zionist outlook.
Of course he served in the military. And we were covering military ground.

I'd avoid 90; nothing to do with Arabs. The road itself is dangerous, often there is no divider between lanes which results in really bad accidents as everyone tries to pass each other and jockey for position. If you're going to somewhere in the Bika/ Yam HeMelech different story, but 6 is just a much better maintained road.

I don't remember 90 feeling unsafe; it wasn't very busy when I drove it.  And I liked it for the reasons stated above.
Perhaps driving it with care and patience can mitigate its dangers?
I guess everyone has to find his comfort level.
