There is another fish n chips opening up elsewhere in the shuk as well.

They've also been opening up a bunch of mini bars/pubs. I'll have to chk to see if they have any happy hour specials on their beer. If they do, it could be a good spot for the next DO.

Not sure if this was mentioned in this thread yet but IMHO the cappuccino cheesecake at Rimon (both of them) is amazing. Any one else tried it? What do you think?

I just called them and confirmed that this time, it's true: as of today, they no longer have OU Mehadrin; they have officially downgraded to Rabbanut.

Besides for kever rochel and chevron and kosel, what is good to see on my own?
I have family in the shomron,ramat gan, rananna, kfar etzion, and some in jerusalem.
Shomron and ranaana should be most comfy for me but as for location which is best?

Depends what you want to be near. Depends where in the Shomoron..
Both Ranana and anywhere in the Shomron are closer to TLV, and not "near" Jerusalem, relatively speaking IIRC.

i dont think its connected. on any given night, most of the diners seemed the type that would eat rabanut. as far as a business decision, it was the right thing to do, imho
