As we all know hasgochos in Israel could change in a matter of days , when I was there I am 99% that it was macput , guess will have to wait to call them on Sunday to see if there were once macput .

i can tell you 100% that in august they were NOT under machpuds hashgacha. they might tell you the meat is machpud (if theyre being honest), but thats a different story

I got duped in a similar vein by Prime Grill in Tel Aviv, back in the days before I knew how the kashrus system worked. They told me the meat had a good hechsher, and I thought it meant the whole restaurant. This was before I learned to look for a teudah...

Cinnabon is a recent development, after I learned what it means to a) check for the existence of a teudah, and make sure it's not a photocopy or whatever, b) speak to my friend's rebbe, who has a lot of inside information on the kashrus industry, and c) personally call the mashgiach and grill him about the different products/procedures used in the establishment to see if it fits my standards.

In those days, I was naive enough to call the restaurant and just ask "what hashgacha do you have?" and leave it at that. I mean, when was the last time anyone told me to look for an actual teudah in Flatbush?! But now I know better.

it was reported earlier that the cinabon mashgiach has set hours in middle of the day in which he comes in...   how is that reliable for you (if you hold mehadrin standards)?     a yoitzei v'nichnas who has set hours is semi-worthless
