I was a very big fan of Amirim when I went. Secular yishuv w/ a mehadrin chalavi restaurant a few doors down by a Canadian Chabad family, and 2 shuls in the neighboring yishuv a 10 minute walk away.

We stayed in the largest, 2 story, unit.

The Leonardo Plaza says they have Rabanut Tiveria for their breakfast. Is that considered reliable?

(Have been to most other places - but if not too good will stick with what we know..)

if you want them to have the best food in Yerushaliam take them to החצר

Food was even better then first time and so was the service..
Never had such a soft juicy steak in Israel yet !

Though I did speak to rots5 and he seems to really like radrigas - so getting a little mixed reviews..

churva shacharis on shabbos starts at 8/815. this is one of the few ways to see it without having to pay. As always the kotel hakaton is a great place to go if you are not afraid to go to the arab shuk a little. Also the Ohel Yitzchak shul is amazing nice place to see friday night after the kosel. Friday night at the churva if you arrive early the zilberman kids repeat the whole shir hashirim by heart from the upper balcony.

Churva has seats open.
to get to the kosel hakaton

Directions:

·         Standing on the Western Wall Plaza with the Western Wall on your right, you will see a large sign on a building that says Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh.  Under that sign there is a passageway.

·         Enter the passageway and pass security.  Once you exit the passageway, you will be on El Wad (Ha Gai) street in the Muslim Quarter.

·         Continue straight on El Wad (HaGai) street and turn right onto Shaar Habarzel ( Baab el Hadid Street) This street is the street after Shuk Mochrei HaKutna Street  (The Cotton Sellers' Street) which you will notice has lots of shops lining the street.

·         Shaar HaBarzel  Baab el Hadid Street is small and narrow, but don't worry, you are in the right place.  Walk a few steps, bare to your left and, in a few more steps, you will a sign for the Kotel Hakatan (The Little Kotel) on your left
