Going to israel for first time with my wife and infant. Do I need to get a hold of shekel before leaving, or does everyone take credit card in Israel. If I need shekel, how much is needed for a six day trip?

Credit card is accepted in most places (some stores have a minimum). There are plenty of ATMs. But it's always good to have some cash on you.

Will be cheaper to buy shekel in Israel.
And almost everyone accepts credit cards (besides sova bakery

)

Get a small amount to use for cabs before you get to exchange currency. The rates are better there.

If you buy a screen online, you can easily find someone to just install it for you for pretty cheap.
