why is that? I was under the impression that sfardic shchitah is a lot more stringent than Ashkenazi

IINM they have different minhagim in regards to shechita etc. There is one main diff. which I can't seem to remember off the top of my head.

It isn't the halacha, it's the conceived supervision standards

Sephardi Shechita is more lchumra. It has nothing to do with the shchita

Nikkur R Moshe says we can rely on. Sephardim are are makpid on chalak

Does anyone have a list of foods that they took along on trips, we are staying at an apartment in Geulah and doing full day trips with a tour. Any suggestions of lunch ideas to take along?
