I was asking why you think they overpaid. While you can get 180 or even technically 150, that is the going rate and I doubt you'll do better calling them now

Paying on the low end of the price spectrum= Normal
Paying on the high end of the price spectrum= Overpaying!

That's my opinion, take it or leave it.

Anyone been there this week? What is the real feel of the country during this 'security situation'?

Are people afraid to go out? Is Ben Yehuda empty? How about the Israeli Shuk? Do people still walk to the Kosel? etc.

Or is it blown out of proportion in NY?

Blown out of proportion. Everything is back to normal besides the kosel itself is decently empty.
