Will be flying in next week with 3 people and at least 4 suitcases. Is it cheaper to take a private taxi to Jerusalem rather than the group taxis waiting there? If yes, recommendation who to call?

You won't fit in a private taxi unless you call someone with a van. The group taxis (Nesher, Tender etc.) cost 64 shekel a person so it is probably your best bet.

I don't think you are right, if you take someone that can put on the roof of course it fits.
And he could get a private taxi for just 200 shek.

Call דקה 99 - you could also call when you land 02 5000 787

Never heard of such a thing.
They charge for each case 5 shek so if the price starts at 180 will cost him 200.

You could confirm the price when you call.

Most of their cars have, and if not you just say you ordered with a roof rack and call company to send another car, there's plenty around the airport.

What are you all trying to say? he should take nesher and wait 45 minutes for the van to fill up and drive around Jerusalem dropping everyone off. (And by mistake someone mixes up with his cases)

When for the same price can go privately.

I ordered one a couple weeks ago and they didn't have so they sent a taxi without...wasn't worth waiting so just stuffed it all in and coped

I took one a few weeks ago and the whole thing from start to finish was less than an hour.

Last time I called I got a cab for a certain price and once it came the price went up. I called back the dispatcher and there's no talking to them. Anyway, it was still less than the airport guys so I used him. Just try to make sure about the price, but then again, this is Israel.

+1. In the end, if the driver is set on a certain price there is not really anthing you can do
