Update: Shabbos there was very nice. The hotel is new and clean and the food was ok. I would call it very Israeli. Shabbos there for a couple is $180 plus 70nis pp per meal which if your not looking for a beautiful luxury Shabbos then this is perfect.
How were the meals? Do you know if they accept outside guests for just meals?

I would call the meals pretty Israeli but OK. I dont believe you can just come for the meals.

I was in Israel back in April and I used Verizon Global Pass for $9.99/Day. I have since gone to vzw prepaid and therefore do not have that option for my next trip in November. What would my best option be for a Sim? I will be calling US & Israel.

Car is definitly much quicker and more convenient. Bus is very cheap but it's a bit of a schlep. If you do go with the bus I would highly recommend you to go to one of the first few stops.
