Can anyone chime on whether any of the McDonald's/Burger King/Pizza Hut restaurants have reliable hechshers?
Pizza Hut is rabbanut mehadrin. Others are plain rabbanut. Ask your local rabbi

As far as mehadrin food goes I don't think there is really anything. Hallelujah was but closed down like 2 years ago. I think there is a good pizza shop near the tachane merkazit. I forgot the name but if you call the Chabad rabbi the he should know.
Activities is the usual watersports - parasailing, snorkeling, scuba diving etc... I can recommend diving with the Dolphins at dolphin reef. Was an amazing experience. Definitely pay the extra 80 shekel or so for a photog.
The only hotel I stayed in was dan panorama. Was really great but not really cheap. If you want to stay in an apt there (you will need a car as it is about 15 min from all the hotels & main area) pm me for the guys number. Very nice apt for 300 shekel a nite

Is there a bus to Kever Rachel? From where? How much is the fare? Do you need reservation? Is it safe/easier to drive there for 4 people? Thanks - I haven't been there in a while

Anyways, in case you want to take the bus, it runs about every half hour from the Tachana to along Shmuel Hanavi. No reservations are needed.

As an FYI, I'm hearing good things about Escape rooms, and may be going to one in TLV this week. Here's a link to the room in Jerusalem.
http://secretroom.co.il/en/
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g293983-d7717662-Reviews-Secret_Room_Jerusalem-Jerusalem_Jerusalem_District.html#REVIEWS
So I did one of them in TLV, and I highly recommend it.
Wasn't cheap (330 sh for 3 ppl), but we had a lot of fun doing it, it was a real challenge, and was a unique activity.
Supposedly there's around 15 of these in Israel.

Idk about the ones in Israel but I did in Manhattan and in Bulgaria. Each one should be different, & most of these places have more than one room option to choose from

You could use your standard ravkav for a round trip pass, but you can't use a nikuv like you use to ride in town.
