No. I just can't find an available date to book a reservation. Maybe they have Hebrew tours available. No English for sure. Nothing in October for deaf or blind. I think the time thing is up and running

Thank you! Do you have the address? How far is it from the Waldorf? Anyone know the Kashrus status of Heimishe essen?

I don't have the exact address but search SIXT Yermiyahu it's next door.
I looked on google -
Train on yaffo=20 min
Car = 10 min
Walk = 30 min

On Thursday and Friday they have a huge menu.

Any decent tzimmers in or near teveriah for 12 people? Or how to find? Can be two separate places. Need  house/beds clean to american standards, doesn't have to be fancy. Tried airbnb but there are very few reviewed places that I see.

I emailed the guy from the museum and he made a date available for me. I guess if they get requests for dates that aren't available they can arrange it. Should I add that to the wiki?

Interesting. Did he tell you how much/little he could actually see? Because I thought the point is for them to show you how they manage with all their other senses & not sight

This isn't a full TR, but some highlights of the trip we took to EY a few years ago with 4 kids.

First some background, we have wanted to go to Eretz Yisrael for years, and when we got into the points game we decided to take the plunge. However, we were extremely unflexible about dates/times so we ended up selling points to pay for the tickets. Although we got less $ per point than we could have if we used points, this way we were able to choose what worked for us. So please don't yell at me that we actually paid for tickets!

We had a Delta flight booked for Motzei shabbos. However, due the the fact that shabbos ends so late in May and we were traveling with 4 kids I was very nervous. Luckily, they changed the flight time (by 5 min) so were were able to switch it to Sunday without fees.

Day 1 - Monday - arrived at 6:00, picked up rental van from hertz (used noach car rental), dropped off suitcases at apartment in Baka (relatives apartment + free) and went to the kosel to daven and pick up dinner in the rovah.

We had a hard time waking up early so most days we had a pretty late start.

I don't remember the exact order of events, but here are the highlights:

We drove up the coast to Ceasarea, kids had a blast exploring all of the ruins, we took off our shoes and played in the water. You can spend hours here. My kids were thrilled to be able to get cholov yisrael ice cream. We then went to Rosh Hanikra where we took the cable car to the grottoes. It was one of the most beautiful sights but didn't spend too long there. We then drove to Tiveria. You MUST eat at "Mesadas Avi" they make the best shnitzel!

Gan Garoo is an incredible park, it's a nice small zoo but the highlight is going into the kangaroo pen and actually petting and feeding them. There is a lot to do in the area but we were pressed for time.

Dig for a day was expensive but well worth it. We got to participate in a real archaeological dig, finding pottery as well as bones and other items. They also have a cave crawl where you explore (by candlelight) an unexcavated cave. Not for the claustrophobic!

We took a beautiful hike in Gamla, it's not easy to get to it if you don't know where you are going but it was beautiful.

Of course we did the biblical zoo, tunnel tours, masada, dead sea, kinneret and more but I tried to write about the things you may not have heard of.

A few tips:

-Many attractions close early in Eretz Yisrael so check before hand (Ein Gedi closed the gates at 3:30 when we were there)
-Almost everything closes for Yom Ha'atzmaut
-Melatonin can help with jet lag ;)
-Use waze for directions
-Got some good groupons for restaurants through the israeli goupon app

i want to book a tzimmer up north for 1 night, 2 days. i'm thinking of going for shabbos up to Golan Hights or Tsfat or Haifa area. which place would be most interesting to be over shabbos? how do i know if a site is reliable? what if i show up and there is no ac or dirty sheets? it's not like you could give or see bad reviews? it's just based on trust?! i'm a New Yorker. i'm skeptical of everything!
