What's the easiest way to get to tzfas via public transportation from Jerusalem? It it really worth renting a car it will cost significantly more what are the pros and cons of each?

The bus that leaves from har tzofim, shmuel hanavi, bar ilan... depending when u go (starting Thurs night) the earlier stop u get on the more likely youll get a seat iirc its 74 nis. I always calculated if im goimg with 3 friends it was generally worth it to rent a car and cut the trip time on half! The cons of renting besides the price is having to deal with either the tolls on kvish shesh or the winding of the 90 (which makes the trip even shorter) and no rest stops.

They recently stoped the discounts on round trips or kartisiot on a Rav-Kav. The way it works now, is that you have to pay full price, but when you load your card you an additional 25% bonous. more details

It's been 9 years since I was in ey, and I'm bez'H planning a trip for this bein hazmanim. Kids will be home with a babysitter and grandparents bH.  Here's what I have planned so far, I'd appreciate input:

Monday arriving, har hamenuchos, kosel, some visits
Tuesday tour of old city (if I find more people to join the group), then the day is wide open
Wednesday traveling up north, R' D. Abuchatzeira in Nahariya, kevarim. Sleeping in tzfas at a place called artists quarter guesthouse, anyone ever staged there?
Thursday hiking/ rapelling in nakik hashachor. Travel back to Yerushalayim
Friday kever Rachel, mearas hamachpeila, shuk, prepare for Shabbos
Sunday wide open other than perhaps shacharis vasikin at R' Steinman
Monday wide open, flight at 10 pm

Yam hamelach/ masada is definitely not interesting to us. Ein gedi maybe if we don't come up with anything better

Any ideas for the open spaces on Tuesday, Sunday, Monday? Free or cheap is preferable but I'm willing to spend for something really good.

Thanks all!

Tverya is on Wednesday together with other kevarim up north. I'm only up north two days/ one night so no time for biking there. I imagine it would be too hot to safely go biking in the Negev?
Thanks!
