I would appreciate your recommendations for getting take-out food for Shabbat dinner.
eLuna has a few advertised here:
http://www.eluna.com/Holidays/Tishrei2016.asp
The list includes Marvad Haksamim and Roza, both on Emek Refaim.
Are these good? Other suggestions? We'll be staying very close to Machane Yehudah.

Thanks. Looks very nice, pretty expensive, but not really what what we're looking for.  For these meals,I would prefer to walk through the shuk and pick out the same things that the locals are enjoying.

Probably salads/dips, roast chicken, schnitzel, maybe some beef ghoulash, some side dishes, dessert, challah (yes, I know, there's a million places to get challah)

We ordered pretty much that from them and was very satisfied. Delivered fresh and not messy. Very enjoyable.
Good luck.

Try Hadar Geulah. Good food and selection.  The location NOT on Malchei Yisroel is easier to shop in but further from your location.it is at 5 givat moshe

Malchei Yisrael location is Pareve only. Just another reason to go to Givat Moshe.

Hadar geulah is a good option - great food - but it seems he is looking for something on the cheaper end, and they are not to cheap at all. And also I found that they sell out very early so make sure to get there early. (They do not offer any sort of delivery...)

ETA:
I realize now, on further reflection, that 1356Abe's suggestion is not far from my theoretical budget. The minimum at http://www.suitejerusalem.com/ is $150, plus $15 delivery, and for that amount, I could get more than enough food, although wine would be extra.

Hi, thank you all.  Our eating/spending strategy for the week:
One fancy dinner out, probably Gavriel.
One fancy brunch (Shabbat) at the WA.
Falafel and hummus and maybe a burger here and there.
Shabbat dinner should be nice but need not be fancy/catered.   I was thinking we would like to spend under 500NIS for Shabbat dinner for 5 of us, all-in, including wine, challah, dessert.
