Need some quick advice: Crowne Plaza Jerusalem or Ramada Jerusalem?

We will be in 2 rooms: 2 adults in one room, 1 adult and 2 small children in the other.

The 2 adults are shomer shabbos, the others are not.

Basically want to know which has better food and overall facilities...

Thanks!
definitely the crowne

really? I always thought ramada was a bit nicer/cleaner though both locations arent great for shabbos. plus when i swam in the crowne once i found floating dog poop ( i kid u not...) and the lifeguard was laughing (he didnt warn us before we went into the empty pool).

Anyone know if the ramparts walk is safe and if it makes a difference north or south? Do you need advance reservation?

Does anyone know of any Chevron tours besides Hoffman? I'm looking for something with a bullet proof bus considering recent events and Hoffman is only stone proof.

I was at the Ramada this Shabbat with frum family (I would eat Rabbanut, them not..).
Got a pretty good paid rate at the Ramada on booking.com of around $120/night per couple, B&B, with child free.
Thought the Ramada was fine - solid 4 class.
Very good for Shabbat - no problem or question about late check-out, meals were timed around davening, and on Shabbat you can choose to have Seudah Shlishit instead of breakfast (which is very useful when shabbat goes out late). They also gave breakfast outside shul anyway - cereals/cakes/yaghurts etc.
Meals were approx 150-190 NIS per person, less for tourists (minus the VAT).
Food was fine - not gourmet, but plenty, and mehadrin. Friday night was served meal, shabbat lunch and seudah was buffet. Seudah was >6 hours after lunch, and milchig. Meals felt very heimish and friendly, lots of singing, not too many sreaming Israeli kids.
Outdoor pool was nice, good lawn area and nice temparature. Indoor pool was fine and has separate hours at night (if that's important).
Almost all staff in hotel are Arabs, which makes shabbat easier - no problems with marking down food etc.
Beit Knesset was fine - I was concerned about davening due to crowd (Haredi) but was fine in the end, shacharit started 9am finished 10:45 (and this was very long parshah - Matot Maaseh...)
All in all, recommended for the price (if you set expectations).

Dont need advance reservation.
I felt perfectly safe doing the northern route (much longer and more interesting). If you don't feel comfortable going down by the end, you can backtrack to the beginning.
I didn't pay for the audio addon, but i would buy it next time for a fuller experience.

For anyone who goes up on Har Habait.  Now is the time to go.  Empty of Arabs and Wakf.
Bring your passport or teudat zehut.  Any questions just ask.

Ask any Israeli to book for you, there's a different price for Israelis then for Americans.

Spending this shabbat in Tel Aviv at the David Intercontinental Hotel. Not really interested in eating all three meals at the hotel. Anyone know if there are any pre-pay shabbat meals nearby, or places to get food (and where may be good to eat- we'll be about ten people).

Someone asked this question a couple years back, but did not see any response.

Thank you!
