In my Israel Apartment mailbox, I found a copy of English Hamodia weekly, just the newspaper part. Anyone else received it?
Just wondering what's with.

Again every person is allowed to have a their own opinion, but if private people don`t need a hecsher then so don`t the stores.  but you should know that the idea of a hecsher came into place because of problems with the kasrus of certain people (and i`m not talking about todays M$$$Y hungry Bal Hamacshrim) so if you trust or don`t DO AS YOU PLEASE BUT KEEP US OUT OF IT!

Does the Waldorf Astoria Jerusalem have weekday minyanim and, if not, then where is the closest place to find a minyan?

I see on GoDaven.com that the closest alternative seems to be at 10 King David Street, Sefardi daily minyan at 7:30 am. Does any one know if that is still correct or other nearby choices?

I have been here for the last few days and there seems to be a Minyan everyday at around 8..

You are right . Wasnt looking to knock.

Is it such a terrible thing to not buy from people who are in the business of selling food because they don't have a hechsher?

No

What's this about? Did he say something wrong, incorrect, scandalous or hurtful?
Was a quick reaction. Said nothing wrong or incorrect (except that i think its not most that do have a hechsher). The reaction just coming from a place where i personally know at least 6 of these catering services wouldn't be חושש for a second. However my reaction is coming from peraonally knowing them so the above comment is very true . Even as an american tourist coming to israel, you cant assume that all these services are top knotch hechsher-wise. I retract my comment/reaction.
