Tell that to my 80 year old neighbor. Or a mother going out with 6 kids.
Sure. Give them my contact info.
StopBeingUnreasonable@gmail.com.

Shall the bank bring an ATM to her front porch because she can't leave her kids once every 2 months to pass by the bank?
This is the way it works everywhere in the world.

Anybody know of a place were I can rent a small hall (either bring my own food) or a restaurant that is open on shabbos for a private event of approx 15 people.
im even open to a large apt that has a nice set up of tables and chairs  (Lacasa not available and Koritz i didnt like)

1) If catered/restaurant needs to be Eidah hechsher
2) I need it centrally located walking distance to Geulah area (15 walk ok)

Im kinda desperate as I need it for this Shabbos.

Thank you
(Pm is fine as well)

I'm being in Israel next week for business and I will have every afternoon from 1:00 and on free, is there anything fun to do there on my own without the wife with me? Or is most stuff geared for couples or friends. For example, a jeeping tour would be weird on my own? or Masada?
Haven't been in IL since my Yeshiva days and don't see it happening in the near future so would love to 'chap arein'.

Thanks!

Visit your old Yeshiva for a reunion, Brochos and an afternoon Seder. Also, imho you can do any tours solo; enjoy, take pics or bring home souvenir for the DW.

My wife and I are thinking of going to eilat for a few days next week... One of the few places we haven't been in Israel.

Anyone know if there's a way that a frum couple can go snorkeling (scuba diving doesn't work for specific health reasons) and avoid the big pritzus problem?

Is Coral Beach empty right when they open at 9am? Is princess beach (public access all day I think) empty at any hour (even a very early one)? Can I buy or rent gear somewhere to go at a very early hour at an open beach?

Basically... Does anyone have experience doing this?

I went snorkeling at a place to had to pay to enter. Forget the name. There was hardly anyone else there.  So it's not impossible.

Get someone to take you out on a boat and go where you want? That's another option though obviously more expensive.

I'm flying RyanAir out of terminal 1 in TLV. Any way to check in and go to one of the lounges in terminal 3 and then transfer to terminal 1?

Nothing worth going for, I barely go to the lounge when I'm flying out of T3.

What, in your opinion, are the best restaurants in Yerushalayim for a nice dinner?
And the best for a dairy or pareve lunch?

Thanks!

It may not meet your definition of a “nice dinner,” because it is a casual and low-key, sometimes noisy, setting, and they don’t have waiters in tuxedos etc. And the food is burgers and onion rings and sandwiches and heavy appetizers, not a 3-course dinner.  For my money, though, I would go back to Crave.  Have been three times and can’t wait to go back.

Apparently they are both Rabbanut Mehuderet. Is that same as Mehadrin? I would want something on the Mehadrin level.

"Rabanut" is like eating Hebrew national. It's probably not kosher but might be. (It basically uses chezkas kashrus in Israel)
"Rabanut Mehadrin" usually has a better mashkiach, who decides what is allowed so you have to know if he's reliable.
"Rabanut mehudert" couldn't reach the low standards of rabanut Mehadrin, so they put it somewhere in the middle.
I'm not who you think I am.

Rabbanut - relies on leniencies
Rabbanut Mehadrin - officially observes strict Kashrus halacha, some debate about the quality of supervision.
Mehuderet - observes most of the Mehadrin halachic standards with less supervision (including at the Shechita level).

Pretty strong statement there.
I strongly disagree.

I realize that the conversation can't really go any further from there but I just wanted that stated for the record. I don't think everyone in Israel who eats Rabanut is probably eating treif.
