Huh? Plenty of rabbanim will give you answers. And in Jerusalem there are under 20 hechserim you will encounter, and 99% are within the same 5-6.
Many people don't have multiple Rabbanim on speed dial. I open an app on my phone, and I know if a place is kosher in the US, it's not like that in Israel. I'm not sure why you insist on it not being more complicated in Israel, when it clearly is. It may not be what some make it out to be, but it definitely isn't so pashut.
Memories last forever, make them while you can.

You're being ridiculous. It doesn't take "multiple rabbanim on speed dial", it's one knowledgeable one. But you got me on the second part, Israel kashrus sucks because Americans can't determine the kashrus status of a restaurant from an easy English app.

That's not worthwhile for me then. Same as I wouldn't ask someone who only eats CHK about eating OK.
Reminds me of my FIL's line: מ'האט אויפגעהערט עסן כשר, און אנגעהויבן עסן הכשרים!

Dan, We are also planning family trip in August with kids ages 2-8. If you already made plans, can you share some kids friendly activities in Israel and especially in Jerusalem. Thank you

Anyone have a winery tour in Israel that they recommend? What do you do by a winery where the people pouring the wines may not be so frum?

Can one not assume that if the winery is under a reputable Hechsher, either the wine is mevushal or it's poured by a Shomer Torah U'Mitzvos? Genuinely curious, as I've never done a tasting in Israel - only at Herzog where I'm fairly sure all tastings were Mevushal.

The hashgacha is only on the wine, not on events/ tastings at the winery.

Thought I'd add something that I don't think was previously mentioned here, from my recent trip. The Tunisian Shul in Acco is amazing. It's not so old, but is literally covered (floors, ceilings, stairways etc.) with mosaics depicting scenes from Tanach, Jewish history, flowers and birds of EY and more. I went as part of Artzeinu's Rosh Hanikra tour which was overall very nice, but this really stood out as something I had never done and not really heard about.

I was never in Akko.

What is the arab situation there? Is it an Arab or Jewish city? Safe?

Or maybe you can compare it to Shar Shchem vs Jewish Quarter?

Can I see the sites on my own or is it better to have a guide?

What is the arab situation there?
It's fine.
Is it an Arab or Jewish city?
Mixed
Safe?
Yes.

Or maybe you can compare it to Shar Shchem vs Jewish Quarter?
Much safer and different than Shaar Shechem. I believe they live in harmony in Akko.
