I was never in Akko.

What is the arab situation there? Is it an Arab or Jewish city? Safe?

Or maybe you can compare it to Shar Shchem vs Jewish Quarter?

Can I see the sites on my own or is it better to have a guide?

I was just there yesterday. It is 98% Arab. I felt 100% safe walking around through all the alleys and the shuk. I have been there many times never feeling any kind of discomfort.

I highly recommend the boat rides (10 ILS per person or 20 ILS for the Jet Boats). Ramchal shul is interesting. There is a Kosher Lemhadrin Pizza Hut right outside the old city next to the water.

The 3d movie is fun, the dark water tunnel is great as long as they are not scared or very young, the archeological tour and and discussions are interesting if they are into that stuff.  I would recommend the Temple mount sifting for the kids also run by ir david

I usually try to read all the trip reports and the master thread before i ask questions.  But there's only 2 reports and a 207 page master thread.
Imnsho, it would be alot easier to read if hechsherim and food recommendations was a separate thread then what to do.
From the pages i did read,  it seems there was 2 places to do a chocolate factory.  One up north and one more central.  Did one lose the hechsher?  The other one still open and good?
Is there a bamba factory with a tour?  Is it good?
I'm coming with my family -4 kids,  for a week and a half.
Anything besides what's mentioned in the wiki  is a must do?

We will be doing meron and teveria as a one day trip from tzfas. During the 9 days.  Is there something near the kineret to do that's worth it?
What are must do in tzfas (local) the candle factory is long gone,  no?

Next q, for the dead sea,  what's the best option with a family,  go to a mixed beach fully dressed and hope there won't be tznius issues.
Is there separate beaches to go that can be done at the same time?  Cost?

What happens in yerushalayim for tisha b'av? Where should we go (we're chabad of that makes a difference)

Lastly (for now) i didn't finalize my accommodations,  so if anyone has an apt at least 2 bedrooms.  With 5 beds (separate beds) in yerushalayim. july 16 to the 24th. $1200-1300 for the 8 nights.
Thanks

We called the chocolate place up north (de Karina) - and they said that it's under the ok (not sure if that includes the cafe etc).
In Tzfas there is also something called otzer hastam which is supposed to be very nice for kids.
I can post/pm what we are planning to do...if that would be helpful.

We are travelling with young children (3 under 8 )
This is what we hope to do...
Arriving Thursday late morning - starting in the galil (Teveria and Tzfas)
Thursday - driving up north - settle in to our place and do the promande in Teveria.
Friday - head to Tzfas, booked a tour at otzar hastam, safed candles, walk around old City, kever of Ari and others , head to meron.
Sunday - head to Golan - tour de Karina chocolate factory and the Golan winery and then head to Yerushalayim.
Monday morning - Chevron (maybe kever Rochel too).
Tuesday - Jerusalem Tour with R. Simcha Hochbaum (also has an amazing Chevron tour which we already did). After that "a look into the past" (3d show at the Kosel), and walk through old city, mamilla, maybe time elevator.
Wednesday - Jeeping with benzys tours and Eretz Bereshit, Stop at Yam Hamelech and Masada (if we can will do ein gedi will prob. Have to skip)
Thursday - kotel tunnel tours, chizkitahu tunnels, walk through the shuk, Migdal Dovid sound and light show.
Friday - Yad vashem for adults, biblical zoo for kids, geulah mean shearim etc...
Sunday - Rosh Hanikra,
Monday - farma cultera, sarona market, hayarkon park.
If missing anything major - please post! Or anything to skip!
Thanks.

(Im sure this has been asked before but for some reason i cant find it via tapatalk..)

Got a moving violation ticket yesterday driving through crosswalk (pulled over, not a street cam). I only carry (have) american license . Are there any negative consequences to not paying the ticket  being that i only have foreign license or are those days over ?

There is always a big kumzitz at the Kotel that starts an hour before Shkeiah or so on 9 Av. Highly recommended.
