Next q, for the dead sea,  what's the best option with a family,  go to a mixed beach fully dressed and hope there won't be tznius issues.
Is there separate beaches to go that can be done at the same time?  Cost?

The seperate beaches at Ein Bokek are really nice (and free). The mens and ladies are right next to each other so I imagine easy to break off and meet back up afterward. Obviously YMMV but chances are there will be some tznius issues at a mixed beach.

(Im sure this has been asked before but for some reason i cant find it via tapatalk..)

Got a moving violation ticket yesterday driving through crosswalk (pulled over, not a street cam). I only carry (have) american license . Are there any negative consequences to not paying the ticket  being that i only have foreign license or are those days over ?

Lastly (for now) i didn't finalize my accommodations,  so if anyone has an apt at least 2 bedrooms.  With 5 beds (separate beds) in yerushalayim. july 16 to the 24th. $1200-1300 for the 8 nights.
Thanks

If you're still looking for an apt, PM me and I can send you lots of leads if you're interested in Sanhedria, Ramat Eshkol, Maalot Dafna, Arzei. (And no, I'm not a vacation rental agent. I won't take a penny.)

Thank you . But it seems though that there is a difference between tickets given based on camera and being pulled over by cop and ticket baring your info. A camera ticket doesnt have any info on you . A pull over by cop does . Any info on that?

we should probably move this over to the right topic.
But to answer your question, if all you gave was your DL, you do not have to pay it.

Hertz is the only one that has returns in terminal 3 but usually much more expensive

looks like the question of how to get a ride on an armored van/bus never got answered. any updates?

is it possible to do ir dovid yourself or do you need to join a tour? and by possible - i mean know where to go, know whats going on....
do you have to book a tour in advance or when you get there? if in advance is it thru a website or you have to find a tour guide?

so far we have the kotel tunnel tours booked for tisha b'av. any other activities that would work on a hot fast day? besides my husband and I, 2 of my kids are fasting as well, would kever rochel work? I'm assuming its all indoors and not that long to do
or does it make more sense to do kever rochel on the same day as chevron?

If you haven’t done Hevron before I strongly suggest doing the tour on the bus that goes to kever rahel and Hevron.  Go to the Hevron website and book the tour with Rav simcha Hockbaum of Hevron.  You will not regret it.  Book early as it fills up.  A real treat.
As for ir David, you can do it yourself piecemeal but it pays to do the compkete three hour tour.

Personally, I wouldn't do it. Even if you're on a non-armored bus (AFAIK, some of the busses that go are armored and many are not), the driver definitely knows the roads better and is less likely to make a wrong turn, and it's also likely that someone on the bus has a gun. It also doesn't matter to you if some kid throws a stone at the bus, whereas if you drive and that happens then it's a dent in your car.

Thanks.  I hear he's great,  but at $50 a person,  i can't do $300 even for a great tour.

How do i get the tour at ir david?  When i show up,  book in advanced...? If its 3 hours - can kids handle it?

I would sign up for ir david online if possible since it can sell out in the summer.  The three hour tour includes a 3d show and the walk through the dark water tunnel that really excites the kids.  The rest of the tour’s interest depends on the guide and the age and interest of the kids.  Check out also some of the other tours from ir david on line especially the sifting project that really interests the kids and is inexpensive last time I looked.
As for Hevron, I understand about the cost.  All buses are protected.  We have been going for years and my daughters lived in kiryat arba and walked down or got rides all the time but we are familiar with the area.  With kids and first time I would suggest going with a tour or at a minimum a person with experience going there.  See if there is contact info for Rav Simcha, explain there are three kids, maybe a discount is possible.  Sorry, I don’t have his contact info offhand.  If I was going I would offer to show you around for free.  It is an amazing place¡. The people who live there are incredible.

Is there a general israel master thread? like israel news, israel advertising, etc?
i'm posting this here, if there's a better place for it, please feel free to move it, and sorry for posting in wrong thread  :-[

Avromi Rubin, one of the best computer technicians I know in Israel, is now a retailer as well.  Sells laptops, computers, etc.  His prices are great, and where he really sticks out are the installations/setup (if you choose to do so).  Israeli stores here boast their low prices (which almost always are the same as Rubin), but (I can tell you from experience), butcher Windows installs (and other software).  Unfortunately, the sad reality is that an extremely minor percentage of Israeli technicians really know what they're doing.  Obviously, I only know the ones I know, but between being in at least 3 telegram groups of Israeli technicians, and seeing many computers a month, I can honestly say that its not even close to a professionally acceptable job.  So, if you're looking to buy a PC or Laptop here, you finally have a reliable place to go!!

See more here.

P.S. Yes, he is a friend of mine; No, I do not profit from his sales.  I actually profit from the bad Israeli installs that I get to fix :)
