Cool. You did it by yourself?

With the wife.

It seems like the Yarkon River is part of Ganei Yehoshua park, just the your pin that dropped is way farther down.
The park is huge. After boating we walked to the big pond in Ganei Yehoshua. I think it took like 45 min to walk there (at the east, where the park widens out). At the pond there's a 2nd boat rental place and also a hot air balloon place (the kind that's tied to a rope and they let it way up and then pull it down 15 min later). Out of curiosity I asked how much a hot air balloon ride costs and although I didn't go on it I remember being pleasantly surprised. IIRC it was around 150 shekel. Haven't compared prices with any other hot air balloon place but for the type of thing that you do once in your life just to say you did it I didn't think it was too bad.....

I realized when I was just looking on Google Maps how big the park is.
I saw the second boating place and the lake as well as the hot air balloon.
Anyone have any more info in regards to hot air balloon ride?

Wow! I just looked on their site and if you book online it's only 80 shekels for a 15 min ride. They've got a 4.5/5 on trip advisor.

(I guess I didn't remember correctly!)

Isnt it 80 per person, not per ride?
Still makes it pretty good.

Thinking now the Azrieli Center towers probably have better views though, so you have to do it for the riding a hot air ballon experience as opposed to getting the best views of TLV.

Update: I went there my first time following waze and it was very clear cut noroom for mistakes. Regarding Caliber 3 imo its over rated nothing special. I enjoy a shooting range in the states much more then there. However I did the Krav Maga training as well and that was really amazing. I would recommend that more then the shooting experience.

First I'm learning about Caliber 3. Appreciate your opinion above.  Have others here done their "Ultimate Shooting Adventure" or other activities and wish to share opinions?

I would recommend it, I was just expecting something more for my money (not cheap). Definitely do the Krav Maga training

Any one have info on the new high speed rail from TLV to Jerusalem? I'm going to be there over chanukah and it seems like only people who have personal rav kavs are able to use it, any insight?

You can buy a ticket on a regular Rav kav I believe. You just can't get the free ticket (which should be over by then anyways as I believe it is only for the first three months but may be six, not sure).
I'm not who you think I am.

It started at end of September, should be free till the end of December.

I drove there without an issue & so did many other people I know. As long as you’re aware of your surroundings & make sure your Waze is set not to go into area a or b you should be fine.

I found caliber 3 to be very underwhelming for its price & from what I had heard about it. With kids it’s probably exciting but for adults I found it to be a bit boring & maybe childish in a way. Was something I felt was stereotypical Israel bar mitzva trip activity. I didn’t do Krav Maga, just some shooting program which was over $100 pp. Lots of propaganda. If you wanna shoot a gun, go find a shooting range.

Yes it's free, make sure you have your license plate number to give them. You can also hire a cab driver with a gun if that makes you feel safer.
