Planning a father/son trip with a bar mitzva aged boy. Since it is just 5 days I'm trying to maximize our time and fit in as match as we can so I'm looking for suggestions on what could be done at night or early in the morning.

For example I plan to visit kever rachel at night since it's inside.

Do you recommend going to Mearas hamachpeila at night or is better to go during the day?

Are there any shuls near Masada? I figure we can leave early, daven, and then go to Masada/Dead Sea/Ein Gedi and still get back to Yerushalyim at some point in the afternoon to do something else that day.

Also I see that the kotel tunnels occasionaly offers tours later in the day 6:00 pm or later). Any other suggestions? How late are stores in Meah Shearim and Macahne Yehuda open in the evening? I figure we may as well do any shopping at night and not use up day time.

Also looking for suggestions of things I can do/see on Shabbos in Yerushalayim (staying in main downtown area). Can you visit the Hurva shul without booking tickets and just going to daven there on Shabbos (or a weekday morning)?

Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Are there any separate dead sea beaches closer to Yerushalayim than Ein Bokek? And what's the best way to get there without a car?
Don't ask stupid questions and you won't get stupid answers

Not sure about closer beaches that are free, I think these three are closer than Ein Bokek , Kalia, Neve Midbar and Biankini , and you can get to the dead sea from Jerusalem by bus except on Shabbat, Egged Bus 486 travels from the Jerusalem Central Bus Station (platform 5) direct to the Dead Sea, Ein Gedi and Masada .

Most likely tel Aviv to Haifa. Most of the time view is blocked though. Not sure how worth it it is.

Dunno if it still runs & does not have ocean views but the old beit shemesh - Jerusalem route had stunning views was nice & slow too
