Planning to be in EY for Pesach.  Guy in my shul spooked me, saying that driving everywhere during CH will be brutal awful traffic.  Dont even think about driving to Tsfat or Yam HaMelach hours of traffic.

Is it really that bad? Should I just plan to be in Jerusalem? (This will help us determine whether to rent a car, as parking is a cost and hassle consideration as well.). TIA

Driving in the city may be a mess but it's always a mess even on a regular day ( during "rush hour").
If your driving down to the Yam Hamelech dont see the problem.
Going up North like to Tzfas probably in the actual city will a mess but once you hit highways doubt there will be traffic.

Last chol hamoed pesach I remember there being alot of traffic on some of the highways through the TA area and on the 1 west of Jerusalem in both directions, but nothing that would make me not want to drive. Was similar to rush hour in those areas, but further out (we were in Haifa/Zichron Yaakov/Caesarea) was fine. About going out to the dead sea, I've never driven there on Chol Hamoed but generally I've found that the 1 East of Jerusalem and the 90 usually move pretty well unless there's an accident or construction.

Basically, I'd expect there to be some extra traffic but I wouldn't say you have to stay in Jerusalem because of it.

Thank you both.
As much as we love being in Jerusalem, it is comforting to know that we dont need to feel confined to it.

Does anyone have recommendations for a private tour guide/private tour services for a family of 3 people.

The goal is to arrange a private tour of tourist sites in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, Herzliya.

There is. It's all the way in the front, on the right side, next top the mechitzas. Not sure the exact time it starts, but it's somewhere around candle lighting.

Tourist Rav-Kavs are now available for purchase at a stand in TLV Terminal 3. They're like anonymous Rav Kavs but also offer 20% off at Israel Nature and Parks Authority sites.

In the near future, the Israel Pass travel cards will also be available at major tourist sites and include discounts for additional tourist services including accommodation, restaurants and cafes.
