whats ridiculous is commenting on my post w/o reading the link first. if you would have, you would have noticed that it has nothing to do with shain at all. by making the comment that you made, it would turn people off from reading, thus losing valuable information. you can start a different thread about shain if you want, but my post had absolutely nothing to do with him. are you not getting this, can i be any more clear?

Firstly I'd like to thank SuperFlyer for that wonderful bit of insight that he added to the conversation. Second of all, Moish, I really don't get why you think that not reading a link that sends me to an irresponsible website is wrong. True, you were linking to a report that he posted that someone else filed, but to say that it is incumbent on me to read his site to find that out is just wrong.

In short, I am sorry that I dismissed what you posted because of the knowledge I (& anyone else in lakewood for that matter) have about Yudel Shain, when in truth it wasn't Yudels report. I hope you can forgive me, & that next time, you don't use yudels site as a source.

I hope that can end this (unless, of course, SuperFlyer has a brilliant brisker joke or two to add).
i wish i knew what i was doing...

Thanks for adding that you are from lakewood. At least they all seem grouped in 1 area.

I hope I'm wrong, but everyone I dealt with -money wise- from lakewood in the meantime, send chills down my spine.

You did however state:"I'm sorry..." In your previous post, so I guess saying moish wasn't so wrong when his link just pointed to an article that wasn't this yudels whatshisface.

On another note: Sad  to see that a real brisker (+ as someone that chapped the chumash shiur,as you defined yourself elsewhere in the forum) has internet.

I suppose that real briskers are elevated above the aveiros that lurk on the net.

If you have some jokes about briskers, I'd be thankful if you posted them.

Ps: you know what the the roshe tayvos of F R U M are?

Hi,

Heading to Israel with group of ppl and we need a good lunch and dinner restaurant in the north. Probably Lunch in Tsfat and Dinner in Tverya... (with a small chance of the opposite...)

Anyone familiar with decks on the kinneret, is it good? how about tsfat? we will have 10 people, and they are looking for good quality...

Thanks

Decks is only rabanut, are you OK with that?

We liked Cafe C in Teverya, but it was nothing fancy.

My bad, I was under the impression that Decks was mehadrin as a certain tour operator offered it to me.... (knowing that's what we require)

So can anyone help with good restaurants in tsefat and jerusalem?

Jerusalem we need a nice fleishig place for a birthday celebration where we can sit for a long time has to have alcohol license... somewhat on the quiet side (not the big ben yehudas where you feel like you're in the shuk... unless they have party rooms)

Also need a nice milchig place in Jerusalem for motzei shabbos.. any other ideas appreciated...

Any ideas for a friday afternoon? we come back from chevron 2pm.. and I doubt chevron has anything decent... I was thinking maybe the Leonardo Plaza - sheraton restaurant would still be open... nayone know if it's decent?

This is all for 10-12 people..

There is nothing fancy in Tiverya or Tzfat that's mehadrin as far as I know.

Chevron has a bad pizza shop.  We had calzones last year and all got sick from them...stick with the ice cream bars from there.  I'm not sure what's open Friday afternoon.

I would recommend the Brazilian Table at Papagaio for a nice, slow, quiet, all you can eat Brazilian style fleishig meal with alcohol in J'lem.  If you get there before (even just a minute before) peak time it's only 119, afterwards it's 169.

Cafe Rimon is good milchig in J'lem at Mamilla or Ben Yehuda.

Thanks dan.. Are the meat dishes very different from regular grill food?

Also we are not so worried about the cost, most important in Jerusalem is ambiance and good food... where we can sit for a long time.. not sure if buffet would be the way to go for the birthday..

No, no, no...Papagaio is far from a buffet!  Hopefully someone will explain it in detail as I'm turning in for the night.

stay away from cafe rimon mamilla and stick with the one in town. (kashrus reasons)  also they probably have the most flexible hours. another milchig option is agas vetapuach in kikar safra.  i personally was quite underwhelmed everytime i ate at the plazas restaurant
the brazillian table is basically, they start you off with bread, various salads and wings, then throughout the evening, as long as you have the green side of this toy showing, they come to you and deposit on your plate many different types of meat/chicken, in around 5-10 minute intervals, alternating between the various dishes. you can also tell them your preferences and theyll stick to only that. as i remember the diiferent dishes were 1. chicken liver 2. entrecote steak carved tableside from a spit 3. entrecote pieces marinated in a beer sauce 3. pargiyot (spring chicken) 4.  regular chicken carved tableside 5. kabob 6. ribs stew 7. regular ribs    it think thats it.  so you could basically could sit for hours. if you need a break, simply turn the toy to show the red side.

Another milchig restaurant in J'lem is Muscat on Kanfei Nesharim. They have a party room upstairs, and their food is good...

Primavera in the Plaza is actually not open for lunch anymore, though they offer a limited menu in the lobby
