How much time do you spend at Eretz Bereishit?

If your kids are not going to go on the camels it’s pointless. Kfar kedem has donkeys which are a drop more kid friendly, they’re pretty much the same idea animal rides & a guy doing a lot of talking which can definitely bore kids (idk your kids but consider that) & then put dough on a fire to have fresh bread with zaatar & u can also get a full meal with them if u arrange from before.

I was there the past summer and they had an "OK" +another one can't remember
Did it with my kids too this yr and each product has hechsher printed on it.
As a side note, they charge you more if you want to do the chocolate at the "same table" with your kids. No need to pay xtra as you choose where you want to sit anyhow. (Fill ur molds w/the white chocolate -it's heaven!)

What's with the hechsher in either place?

I personally think kfar kedem is better then Eretz berashit with that age kids.
Especially if you get a good guide.

Can you give a rundown of the pros and cons?
It's a lot further away from J'lem!

Dunno much about Galita, We chose De Karina as that was on sis's camp itinerary and they loved it. De K also has an awesome 'shake bar' with amazing hot or cold chocolate...drinks,shakes etc

We went on the way up north so the distance wasn't an issue.
Kfar kedem was full hands on starting getting dressed up like in the time of the mishnah, making cheese, girding wheat baking bread on an out door oven etc  everything like how they lived in those times, and it included a nice lunch, the  riding on donkeys was really fun part of it. just make sure to get a good guide.

Eretz Berashit is more like you learn in parshes vayeirah  you start on a camel for a short ride down till a tent then they call out Avraham you have guests so "he" comes out invites you in  to his tent you sit on the floor he gives you water and dates then its a very long  speech copying what avrahm did with his guests.
Both were nice but we enjoyed kfar kedem so much more.

Anyone done the "Dig for a day?"
Would a 5 and 7 year old enjoy?

I did it 2 years ago with a 7 and 5 year old. It really depends on your kids....

My kids enjoyed it. It is a real hands on experience and activity. If your kids like to get down and dirty a bit, they can enjoy. There is an optional part at the end of doing spelunking. Somehow my 5 year old convinced me that she wanted to go. Definitely not for the faint of heart with a 5 year old.
Once inside, there is no going back. It was quite interesting and quite an experience to do this with a 5 year old! I spent most of that time just hoping we didn't die in there :-)

For adults and older kids there is also the historical fascination of it.

Any ideas for a place to stay one night in Northwest Israel. I'm planning a 2-3 day northern trip and starting on the west coast. I'd like to stay somewhere in Haifa or points north but really don't want to pay $200+ a night for a room that sleeps 3. We're 6 so we need 2 rooms and it looks like most hotels are at around $450+ for the two rooms.

Also, any religious issues visiting the Bahai gardens? I've heard it's ok as you don't go into any shrines.

Lastly, any recommendations for good (easy to moderate) hikes in the northwest? I'm thinking something on Mt. Carmel near Haifa makes sense. Looking for a hike with nice views and water is a bonus, though I can get the water when we head to the Golan.

From the timestamps on our pics, it looks like 2 hours from when we got out of our car until we got back in to leave.
