I understand that they do Boruchu as the train pulls out of the station

Makes sense since the train is sitting and waiting there for 10 minutes before it actually leaves. So if you get there 10 minutes before and start davning....

Id assume they'll see everything when you go to extend it and have the same issues.
What ended up happening? usually when they give you 1 month it is because you have overstayed a 3 month tourist visa in the past, and/or they have reason to suspect that you are a really not a tourist. Speaking from lots of (old) experience.

We are looking for a  place in the old city/Mamilla area to have a small (around 20 people) bas mitzvah dinner. Does anyone have recommendations?

Has any non- Israeli citizen on this forum had experience flying into Israel since the restrictions went into effect late in March?  What was required to show that one's life centered around Israel and when was that documentation required?

For a day in the South I highly recommend Masada, Ein Bokek, Dead Sea- duh, and a Camel Ride through the Judean Desert. I also recommend hiring a tour guide a for the best experience. We used https://www.israelprivatetouring.com/ and were very very happy.

Museums are supposed to reopen today but I don’t see anything on their websites about reopening.  I specifically looked at the Israel Museum and Yad Vashem websites.  Does anyone know if they are open?
